This is an example of a loft conversion where a hip to gable design has been used. This particular gable-end and rear dormer was built on a bungalow in Potters Bar,Herts and had two bedrooms and a bathroom incorporated in the roof conversion. This picture shows a gable end loft conversion Apex Loft Conversions built in Enfield, North London. You can see the way the gable end is finished with pea-shingle to match the existing flank wall of the property. The tile-hung dormer cheek is built as close to the edge as possible gaining the maximum space inside the roof conversion without ruining the natural line of the gable. On this image the front view of a gable-end loft conversion as seen from the street is shown. Notice on this picture, in Enfield,North London, that the gable-end has been tile hung to match the new roof tiles that Apex Loft Conversions laid on the roof as per clients’ instructions. Here you can see a brick built gable-end loft conversion. A gable-end is constructed using face brickwork when the flank wall of the property is also face brickwork rather than flat rendered or pebble-dashed. Apex Loft Conversions built this in Potters Bar, Herts. The rear view of the gable-end in Enfield that Apex Lofts built shows the rear dormer and the ‘new look’ appearance the whole loft conversion takes on when new tiles are used on the exterior finish. This is a gable end that has been constructed using face brickwork to match the existing flank wall of the property in Potters Bar, Herts with a barge board overhanging the brickwork in white U.P.V.C. Here you can see a closer view of the way the tiles are cut to form the tiled gable end. The darker tiles running up the edge of the pitch have an angled cut to allow them to finish exactly with the plain tiles that are running horizontally along the gable. This shows a hip to gable conversion in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire where the gable has been constructed using face brickwork to match the existing wall of the house. The gable has a White UPVC barge board fitted and a complete new roof was given to this conversion.
